My next press car is a new Fiat 500 with the retro ‘1957 Edition’ style package. My original plan was to compare it to an original Fiat 500 but someone capitalized on that idea before I could get the car. Now I need ideas. A straight-up road test is possible but also kind of boring. I want suggestions for fun or wild things I should do with it to make an entertaining video. Maybe take a crazy roadtrip somewhere with it?
Full disclosure, it’s in the pistachio green color pictured and it has an autotragic.

I think you should see how many college students you can fit in it.

It’s the convertible one too, could be a massive number.

Avoid old Italians or you will be talking about the old country all week.

Turn the Swift Rapids Road into a Rally course.
Or any other, closer-to-home rough road. Swift Rapids is just the first one that springs to mind.

Drive it through a mall with a larger car chasing you

You should find out if handbrake turns in a non-sports car can attract an equal amount of females compared to the Land Yacht.

Jump test. See if you can flip it at an autocross.

Make some retro style ad parodies if you can (either print or video).
Do 0-60 times with different weights/# of passengers in the car and see how gutless it really is.

Hahaha I love the multi passenger 0-60 idea. That’s gold.

Don’t know if Canada has any spring weather yet but get a lady in a big hat, a nice polka dotted summer dress, you wear a brightly colored tight plaid (the plaid is tight, not the shirt). You have the top down. Show you two laughing with the sun shinning while driving the car. Lots of lens flare. Drive the car to a nice grassy patch on a cliff overlooking the sea where you have the picnic with the car on an angle in the foreground.

hoon the living crap out of it, handbrake turns and burnouts obviously.
also see where you can park it i.e down a tiny ally way or under a bro truck.
you could see how fast will it go in reverse? genuine question because our D/D will do 45ish backwards.

Enjoyed that. Thanks for the link.
OK, so how about a retropalooza? Fiat 500 1957 Edition, Mini Cooper r53 (the new one has lost the plot) and VW Beetle (new or newer, take your pick). Which one comes closest to the spirit of the model that inspired them?
